Falken Holding AG was founded to provide funding to succession entrepreneurs. We like to partner with ambitious operators that step into management roles and allow previous owners to exit the business. This, in our view, is the best way to honor the founder's heritage and to guide wonderful companies through their next chapter of growth under new leadership.
Our Approach
The companies we look for usually have strong market positions in their niches and operate in sectors that we can forecast with confidence. The entrepreneurs we like to partner with should bring a deep passion for business, be curious and motivated to learn and, above else, place high importance on integrity and honesty. While we fully trust our partners to operate their business with excellence, we are committed to supporting them with our resources and experience where it is requested and helpful. Finally, we usually step into processes when transactions are well underway and equity gaps arise but can selectively back search efforts as well.
Long-Term Owners
We like to partner with skilled operators in wonderful businesses for as long as we can, not just through the initial period of improvements post closing. In our experience it is usually a mistake to let go of a great business, even if the offered price seems attractive in the short term. Therefore, we are set up as a holding company with perpetual capital and have no pressure to sell. Working with our own balance sheet allows us to be flexible and encourage long term business building endeavours.
